City Fruit Ambassador Program

Weed control at public orchard

Interest Meeting: August 19th at the City Fruit office (2524 16th Ave. S)

Building a sustainable local food system requires the awareness and participation of an entire community. City Fruit Ambassadors are responsible for working within their neighborhoods to raise awareness about Seattle’s urban orchard, the annual harvest, and the impact of sharing the fruit with our neighbors in need. This work will change on a month-to-month basis and rely on the varied talents, skills, and interests of our Ambassadors.

Ambassadors will use their passion for healthy food and the urban orchard to spread awareness at outreach events and local City Fruit work parties. Participants will gain significant communications, outreach, and community organizing skills as well as the chance to volunteer with a like-minded group of people!
