City Fruit | Projects: Tree Care Workshops

Join Now!

City Fruit sponsors a variety of hands-on workshops for fruit tree owners. Most of these take place in front of trees and are organized by neighborhood. We partner with Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Tilth and the Seattle Tree Fruit Society. In February, residents of New Holly went from yard to yard learning to prune a variety of fruit trees, and in June Wallingford residents learned to attach protective ‘footies’ to the apple trees at the Good Shepherd Center.

Classes planned for fall 2009 include jam-making, canning and summer fruit tree pruning. See the City Fruit calendar for details.

To suggest a class we might offer, or for more information, contact City Fruit.
