City Fruit harvests fruit from residential properties in South Seattle( Rainier Valley/Beacon Hill area), West Seattle, Phinney-Greenwood, Wallingford, and Ballard neighborhoods. From start to finish, we depend on volunteers to help us pick, sort, and deliver uber-local fruit that would otherwise go to waste to organizations that serve our neighbors in need. Check out our Idealist page to view our volunteer positions for the 2014 volunteer harvest. If you live in or near one of our neighborhoods and would like to volunteer with City Fruit, sign up online. Volunteer orientations will be held at City Fruit’s office in beautiful Beacon Hill in June.
If you have any questions, please contact Melanie, City Fruit’s Volunteer and Harvest Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to supporting City Fruit financially or by volunteering, you can participate by learning to take care of fruit trees and pledging to adopt tree in your yard or neighborhood to keep it healthy, use the fruit, and share the fruit with others.
