Growing fruit in containers is a great way for city-dwellers to experience the harvest even if they have a small yard — or a deck. In this class participants will learn the ins and outs of keeping fruit trees healthy in containers. City People’s will have plenty of figs, kiwi, and columnar apples on hand for those who want to give it a try.

Ingela Wanerstrand is owner of Green Darner Garden Design, teaches a class on growing fruit with the Edmonds Community College horticulture program, and has more than fifteen years’ experience growing and pruning fruit trees.

This class is part of a Second Sunday (and one Saturday) series of fruit tree care classes co-sponsored by City People’s Garden Store and City Fruit.
