Cloud Mountain Farm Center in Everson opens its nursery to the public for the 2013 planting season and growing season on February 1st and, to support home gardeners, as well as experienced farmers, the center kicks off another series of educational workshops, beginning February 16th.
The Propagation of woody plants during the dormant season will be discussed and demonstrated at a two-hour workshop, “Winter Propagation: Grafting and Hardwood Cuttings,” offered for a $30 fee on Fen. 16th from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Hardwood cuttings require no special systems for success and are fun and easy to learn. For those who wish to add trees to their orchard, winter grafting is easy and inexpenseive
