Pruning fruit trees improves their overall health and appearance and can increase fruit production. This class presents the biology behind pruning fruit trees, basic pruning cuts, tools and how to stimulate fruit production. Instructor Ingela Wanerstrand, left, is the owner of Green Darner Garden Design, specializing in edible garden design. She has been pruning fruit trees professionally for 15 years and teaches a course on fruit tree care at Edmonds Community College.
This class is part of the Second Sunday (and One Saturday) Series of fruit tree care classes put on by City People’s Garden Store and City Fruit. The workshop is free: call City People’s at 206-324-0737 or email them at gardenstore@citypeoples.com to register.
