Permaculture is a set of techniques and principles for designing naturally sustainable landscapes. When applied to growing fruit, a permaculture approach focuses on soil health, planting suitable companion plants, and attracting natural predators. Instructor Kimberly Leeper is owner of Mariposa Naturescapes, specializing in native and edible plant design and installation. She is committed to helping people create more sustainable gardens and ecosystems and teaches workshops on Food Forests, Gardening for Wildlife, Natural Gardening, and Rain Gardens.
This class is part of a Second Sunday (and one Saturday) series of fruit tree care classes co-sponsored by City People’s Garden Store and City Fruit.
