Hear a seasoned professional pruner discuss different pruning strategies and then watch her prune the two-year old trees in the Freeway Estates Orchard in Wallingford. Test your knowledge and learn new skills. Instructor Ingela Wanerstrand has been a professional pruner for 20 years, has a permaculture certificate, and teaches numerous workshops in addition to teaching in the Horticulture Program at Edmonds Community College. Suggested donation is $10; proceeds benefit the orchard.
Freeway Estates Orchard is located at NE 60th St and 6th Ave NE, just south of NE 65th and next to the sound wall on the west side of I-5. Nearby buses: 26, 16, 66.
