Laura Janzen has been grafting and pruning apples and pears for three decades. She served as editor of the Seattle Tree Fruit Society’s Urban Scion Post and has helped develop the Web-based apple ID program. Laura will have demonstration apples available as she discusses how to decide when to pick a particular apple, how to store it, how to identify its variety and what to do for better fruit next year.
This class is part of the Second Sunday (and One Saturday) Series of fruit tree care classes put on by City People’s Garden Store and City Fruit. The workshop is free: call City People’s at 206-324-0737 or email them at gardenstore@citypeoples.com to register.
